Hi! I’m Charlotte Katie Mclean. I’m a self-taught illustrator.

I was born September 10th 1991 in London. I was diagnosed with Aspergus Syndrome, so I act and respond differently than other people. I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. When I was at primary school, I often added illustrations to my work, whether it was an art lesson or not! At secondary school, I did a lot of drawings outside of lessons, which is where I started to come up with ideas for my own stories.

I do mostly character designs and children’s illustration. Pretty much anything can inspire me, which can lead me to creating characters and ideas for children’s books. My favourite style of drawing is cartooning, but I can do realistic looking art as well. I use both traditional and digital media when it comes to my art. My favourite mediums are coloured pencils, markers and Photoshop.
